Is Portland,OR a good place to live if you are a single with high functioning autism(aspergers)? OR is Seattle?
For the past 3 years I have thought about moving to Portland,Oregon. I visited Portland in June 2008 and December 2009. I have never visited Seattle before.
Currently I’m a single 30 year old male from the Los Angeles area. I live with my parents in the LA area becuase a studio apartment goes for $ 1100 a month or more. In LA I own my own car. Seven years ago I earned a BA degree from a major university.
Unfortnatley people in the Los Angeles area are very snotty, shallow, closeminded, superficial and selfish. Here in the LA area I have very few friends. Im unable to meet a girlfriend here.
Employers here descriminate if you have a noticible disability.
The two times I visited Portland I noticed people being much more down to earth and real. In Portland alot of the woman don’t have plastic surgery or wear expensive makeup to what I noticed.
In Beaverton I can get a nice 2 bedroom apartment for $ 725 a month.
Should I give Portland a try or am I going to have trouble making friends or meeting a girlfriend? OR should I give Seattle a try?
Here in LA if you put an ad on an online dating site if you wear glasses no girl wants to date you.
